Meet Our Providers

Stephen Santucci, MD, FAAP

Pediatrician he/him
Larkspur Office: Mon, FriNovato Office: Tue, Thu

Dr. Santucci is a Bay Area native with many family ties to Marin and the East Bay. He was born in San Francisco, and after growing up on the Peninsula he seized the opportunity to complete his undergraduate studies in New England at Dartmouth College. There he played intercollegiate football while pursuing a degree in Biology.

Dr. Santucci then returned home to spend a year at UCSF assisting in neuroscience research and went on to complete his degree in medicine at UCSF, where he met his wife Peggy. After medical school Dr. Santucci crossed the bay to finish a pediatric internship and residency at Children’s Hospital and Research Center in Oakland. He was selected to spend an extra year there as Chief Resident, during which he collaborated in the teaching of pediatric residents and supervised the care of admitted patients.

After completing residency Dr. Santucci worked as an Attending Physician in the newborn nursery at Highland General Hospital, Oakland’s county hospital. He later became a partner in a busy private practice in the East Bay, serving many monolingual Spanish-speaking families. He spent 15 fulfilling years at that practice before joining Tamalpais Pediatrics. As an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UCSF, he is looking forward to teaching medical students about pediatrics.

Dr. Santucci has twin daughters and a younger son, and spends most of his time trying to keep up with them. He also enjoys trail running, snowboarding, camping, and traveling.
