Meet Our Clinicians

Dr. Liza Ignatova grew up in Palo Alto, California. She studied Physiology & Neuroscience at the University of California- San Diego. After graduating, Dr. Ignatova attended Albany Medical College in Upstate New York for her medical degree. That is where she met her partner and discovered her calling for pediatrics in the newborn nursery.

She completed her pediatrics residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. Motivated by the ongoing adolescent mental health crisis, she chose to specialise further through an adolescent medicine fellowship at UCSF, where she gained additional skills in helping children and teens with eating disorders and mental health concerns.

Since completing her fellowship in July 2026, she is caring for children and babies of all ages at Tamalpais Pediatrics. Her passion is helping families & children learn and grow together throughout the lifespan.

She currently resides in the Bay Area with her partner and two cats, and she enjoys cycling and spending time with her family.
