Meet Our Clinicians

Born in Kazakhstan, Dr. Liza Ignatova moved to the United States at age six and was raised in Palo Alto, California, where she attended Henry M. Gunn High School. Her interest in biology developed during her undergraduate years at the University of California – San Diego where she majored in Physiology & Neuroscience. After graduation, her experiences working as a medical assistant and an EMT in San Diego County confirmed her commitment to pursuing a career in medicine.

Dr. Ignatova attended Albany Medical College in Upstate New York for her medical degree, which is where she discovered her calling for pediatrics and met her partner. She then completed her residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Motivated by the ongoing adolescent mental health crisis, she chose to specialize further through an adolescent medicine fellowship at UCSF. Set to complete her fellowship in July 2026, she looks forward to joining the team at Tamalpais Pediatrics. Her professional focus includes eating disorders, adolescent medicine, and mental health.

Currently residing in the Bay Area with her partner and two cats, Dr. Ignatova enjoys cycling on weekends and spending quality time with her family.
