We're pleased to present this new patient education class in response to requests from parents to have a class that focuses on the emotional life of boys. I hope that many of you can make it.
Anxiety is among the most common psychological concerns for boys. For parents it can be challenging to differentiate high anxiety from typical development. It can also be hard to know how much to “push” and when to hold back.
In this presentation, Dr Peterman will cover:
Ways anxiety presents in children, and specifically, in boys
Signs when anxiety reaches the threshold of anxiety disorder and when to get help
Tips and tools for parents to help coach their sons when they are experiencing anxiety
Discussion of anxiety and media use
Class is FREE to patients and $20 for guests. Please call the office at 415-461-0440 to RSVP.
