Just in time for Mental Health Awareness Month, we've launched two new parent education classes in our Novato office.
First, Eileen Brown, MA, LMF will be teaching an Anxiety in Pre-Teen and Teen Girls class for parents on May 17th in our Novato office at 6:00pm. Eileen will cover why anxiety and depression can be so prevalent in girls today, where this historically stems from, and tool to help your daughter navigate this challenging time.
Our second class is being held by Joe Gumina, PhD on May 21st at 6:00pm in our Novato office. He will cover the complex topic ADD and ADHD. Not only will he explain what this diagnosis is, but how it affects your child, how to handle treatment options, and how to coordinate and manage efforts between school, home, and health care providers.
These are both parent classes and not intended for children. They are free to patients of Tamalpais Pediatrics and $20 for guests.
Please call the office at 415-461-0440 to RSVP while spots are still available.
If you are concerned about your child's mental health or ability to concentrate, please reach out to the office for further guidance. We're here to help you.
