Congratulations Miya!

All of us here at Tamalpais Pediatrics would like to congratulate our patient Miya, pictured below with just a few of the 8 medals she won at the 2014 Transplant Games of America.  Since her transplant, Miya has become a champion swimmer and is now looking forward to the 2015 World Transplant Games in Argentina.  Go Miya!

Sleep Class - Tomorrow - August 21 in Novato

If you have an infant or toddler who is having sleep issues, or are wondering what to expect when your baby arrives, join  Sarah Middelton, an infant sleep consultant and parent coach, who will be in our Novato office on Thursday, August 21st at 12 noon.  Sarah will be doing a lecture on sleep from 0 to 12 months, discussing babies' sleep needs and how to help your baby learn good sleep habits.  The class is free to current Tamalpais Pediatrics patients and $20 for others.  Tell a friend and bring your questions!

Nutrition Class - Picky Toddlers - Thursday

Tomorrow - Thursday, August 14 at 12:15 in our  Greenbrae Office, Argavan Nilforoush, RD, CSP will be coming to present "Healthy Solutions for Picky Toddlers," a class on nutrition in the toddler years.  The topics to be covered include: toddler nutrition needs, solutions for the picky eater, the division of responsibility in feeding and planning meals and snacks for the whole family.

AAP Children's Art Contest

Every year, the American Academy of Pediatrics holds a Children's Art Contest for various ages and uses the winning artwork on their website, the cover of journals and promotional materials.  The winners get a trip to the AAP National Conference (this year in San Diego) and $500, with a matching amount donated to their schools.
