Brenda Evans is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Certified Lactation Consultant and most recently a Certified Sleep Coach. Brenda graduated from UCSF’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program and has worked at Tamalpais Pediatrics as a nurse practitioner for over 25 years gaining an incredible amount of experience with and understanding of a wide variety of pediatric issues and has chosen to focus her energy and continued training on early childhood.
In 1988, Brenda completed the training to become a Certified Lactation Consultant at UCLA and currently does all of the lactation consultations for our patients. She also does home maternal child visits through the Sutter Visiting Nurse program. Brenda’s love of learning lead her to participate in a certified, evidence based sleep training program. In 2014, she was certified as a Gentle Sleep Coach. Brenda’s passion for teaching and helping families with young children inspired her to create several parenting classes for the patients in our practice. She teaches a monthly Potty Training Class and a monthly Toddler Sleep Class. She also sees patients privately and does telephone consultations through Nighty Night Sleep Coaching.
Brenda lives in San Rafael with her husband and two dogs. She has two adult children and a grandson. She loves hiking, gardening, taking classes and, most of all, playing with and taking care of her grandson.
