Meet Our Providers

Tyler McDougold was born and raised in Kenduskeag/Winterport, Maine. He is an Associate Marriage Family Therapist and earned his Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, Canada. For fifteen years, Tyler has taught in public, private, and boarding schools across Maine, New Hampshire, and San Francisco, as well as working for summer programs in New Hampshire and Hong Kong. During his time in education, he served in a variety of roles, including science teacher, dorm head, sports and activities coach, and summer program leader. This experience helped him gain a deeper understanding of how children experience the many different aspects of their lives. 

During his masters program, he provided therapy at a local high school in the East Bay. In addition, he is a certified Therapeutic Game Master with experience using role-playing games and personal passions to support growth and healing. He is excited to join the team at Tamalpais Pediatrics and looks forward to supporting children and families in the community.

When he is not working, Tyler enjoys going to the movies, playing board and video games, taking long walks, and cuddling with his cat, Kima.
